Discover Ed’s Extensive Background

“Selling your business is a PROCESS not a transaction.”

“Having worked with so many business owners, they all have very similar goals: Financial outcome from sale for their retirement and family, how will the new owner treat the employees, and a successful transfer of the business to continue the legacy.”

“Many business owners receive unsolicited offers that seem to be financially good.  Owners do not understand what the net proceeds will be and will the proceeds be enough for their financial goals for retirement, heirs and charitable intentions.  We provide dozens of customized cash flow scenarios for each owner that allows them to see if their goals are accomplished.”

“A business valuation is the value of the business at a specific point in time.  When a business listed for sale, the owner will receive a range of values from buyers.  This range of values is the result of many factors: What type of buyer: ESOP, Private Equity, Internal buyer etc.  What is going on in the economy, your industry, interest rates? There are many other factors as well.”

“As a Certified Business Exit Advisor, we often start the process of preparing and educating business owners on their ideal exit.  We then coordinate an experienced team of Merger & Acquisition advisors to work towards your ideal exit.”

His professional and personal philosophy is shaped by the following quote by Bill Bullard, former Dean of Faculty at San Francisco University High School: “Opinion is really the lowest form of human knowledge. It requires no accountability, no understanding. The highest form of knowledge is Empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another’s world.”
